CHANGING LIVES THROUGH HIS ART — MARK WARD
Mark Ward is a 7-Figure Entrepreneur with over 20 years of Business experience. Starting his first business at age 19, he co-founded the 1st all hip hop dance studio in Western Canada, 3rd Street Beat. Mark believes in enjoying the journey because the destination is only a fleeting moment in time.
Mark’s most life-changing moment
In December 2020, Mark was lucky enough to travel to Africa for the first time and spend a month doing a charity project with Turnip Homes. They helped rebuild classrooms for a School in Arusha. Mark was able to see the impact his donations and hard labor produced there. He visited a school and saw the condition of classrooms which crushed him. Yet, the amazing was to see a genuine smile on the kids’ faces even though they had nothing. They went to the school with some tea and an empty stomach. Mark’s favorite moment was when he bought close to 600 kids’ muffins and pop and many of them only had a few sips and saved the rest. It was a lesson for him as he forgot what it means to savor something we care about. ‘The many things I take for granted, I have this as a great reminder of how lucky I am to be born and raised in Canada’, says Mark.
Mark’s source of inspiration
According to Mark, one just needs to find a word that defines him, guides, and helps him find his moral compass. Mark gives priority to the questions a person asks himself as he feels that the quality of one’s life depends directly on those questions. Mark asked himself how he can serve more people in a way that will not just affect people today but also change the lives of future generations. Therefore during the pandemic, Mark launched and connected his company Quiimly with Morua Power Foundation and helped them create ‘Power a Nation’ which is a campaign to inspire Global social equality and help African villages step into the 21st Century by giving them the gift of electricity.
Mark’s piece of advice and future goals
For the near future, Mark is planning the launch of a brand new virtual event, The Global Dance Summit, and wants to reach 50,000 people and help them transform their current thinking. Mark suggests people understand that success is predictable and if a person can model the most successful people, then anyone can rise to be at the top of their craft. Therefore success not only becomes probable and possible, but it also becomes inevitable.
